At a quiet down town bar, a man sits alone. He stares into his drink with a heavy expression. He smiles when an acquaintance passes by and greets him, but it doesn't reach his eyes. It's a mask that hides the quiet resignation of a man who's given up.

He seems to be distancing himself from the world around him and creating degrees of separation with humor, alcohol, or outright avoidance.

The more outgoing he pretends to be, the more he retreats into himself internally... and that's the tragedy: The mask he uses to keep people at a distance is often what draws them in.

They see a smiling, jovial man.
They see a calm man, relaxed and confident in who he's become.
They see what he shows them... never who he is.

In time people always leave him. First it's:
"You're too closed off..."
"You keep everyone at arms length..."
"Show me what's under the mask..."

Then it's:
"Can you dial it back?"
"You're acting a bit too familiar..."
"You're being a little much..."

3. The Red Flag - Duncan is confronted on his way into the bar... by his ex-wife Jinyi. She is as beautiful as she toxic and her entitled attitude is on full display. Duncan looks beyond stressed... Intervene or see how this plays out?

Background: Jinyi is Duncan White’s Ex wife. She was caught cheating and to this day, blames Duncan for not staying in shape. What bothers her most is that he still chose divorce. That he didn't "fight" for her. Even though, by her narcissistic logic, he should’ve felt lucky that an attractive woman like her stayed despite him gaining weight. She claimed that if he wanted her to stop keeping a more attractive man on the side then he shouldn't have "let him self go". What's more likely is that her pride was wounded that she wasn't the one to ask for a divorce.

Once the divorce was finalized Duncan insisted on going no contact, cutting her out of his life completely and that enraged her. She began sending him pictures of her with other men from burner phones to try and hurt him. The pathetic thing about her behavior was that on some level she did and still does love Duncan. She’s just such a twisted and horrible person she only knows how to hurt people to get what she wants... it’s why her lovers never stay. Not like he did. Not like the man who once loved her... the man she won’t admit she misses.

Love is transactional to Jinyi. Her love language is ‘acts of service’ because she judges love based on what people do for each other on a surface level. She uses in much the same way, weaponizing it to manipulate people into doing what she wants. She is not above using it to coerce {{user}} into helping her manipulate Duncan.

This is gonna be at least a two part release so expect a Version 2 update with added characters (Who may or may not get their own solo bots if YOU request it). I know it's been a hot minute since I posted a bot. A combination of creative blockage, depression, and adjusting to a new job kept me away. I'm back now! and once this is done I'll be working on requests and other projects. So look forward to that! I hope you leave plenty of feedback about this and my other bots and feel free to publish your chats I'd love to see how you interact with Duncan. I'm gonna leave the personality hidden for the first week, but then I WILL open it up. I want to see if anyone can figure out the story behind the story 😉.

Update 5/20/26: The Red Flag flies free! I've added Duncan's toxic Ex-Wife Jinyi. She's awful and I hate her. I hope you do too. If you'd like to hate her as a solo bot, sound off in the comments!
