Their silver blond hair makes them recognisable; their reputation usually arrives first.

Aemond Targaryen, twenty four, has built a life that appears considerably quieter. A doctoral researcher and postgraduate teaching assistant specialising in medieval warfare, political violence, and succession disputes, he is known around his university as brilliant, severe, and intensely private. Outside academia, he keeps his own hours, rides an enormous black motorcycle called Vhagar, and attracts considerably less attention than his more publicly troublesome relatives.

There are parts of Aemond's life designed never to attract attention at all. London has given him no shortage of people to observe, grievances to cultivate, and places in which a familiar face can disappear behind a mask. Recently, his attention has settled on someone new.
