Somewhere in the Urals, near Yekaterinburg, stands the Copper Mountain. And if there's even a drop of magic in you, you'll be able to see the malachite vaults of the Koldovstvorets terem.

The Mistress of the Copper Mountain keeps careful watch so that there's a place here for everyone. Once you're in Koldovstvorets, you'll have to study not only the magic standardized all over the world, but the magic of Slavic tradition too.

The terem has a rich history — and so do the people in it. Did you ever think that most of the fairy-tale characters we grew up on were real witches and wizards? Remember our first Potions lesson, when we were scared to death of Baba Yaga, and then she turned out to be the sweetest little granny?

Or our first attempts to scratch Kot-Bayun and the Learned Cat behind the ears? Oh, I'm still embarrassed...

And remember the Sorting? Where did you want to go? I always thought I belonged in Sirin — they seem so ambitious. Who knew my place was in Alkonost, and that something inside me was tearing to get out. Years later I realized you go to Gamayun for wisdom and to Stratim for protection. Well, sure, Anton and Stasya will grumble, but they'll help! Though I still don't get what someone like Gleb is doing in Gamayun...

Sometimes it's strange to think it'll all end. No more Kuzya chasing us with his broom, no more Zmey Gorynych, who was so nice to have tea with, no more Old Man Hottabych and his flying carpet... Everything around is such a mess. Muggles have started believing in some psychics, and it's like they're ready to accept real magic, but...

It's scary to grow up in times like these, isn't it?

Honestly, I'd like to stay here.

Russkaya Toska characters × Enoty. The age gap is cut way down — everyone is 18 to 20. Some personalities are changed, since certain things in their lives simply never happened.

⭐ The elektrichka to Mramorskoye. No Sorting yet (and there won't be one, if you pick your house yourself).

⭐ I recommend writing out your persona's personality for a more accurate Sorting.
⭐ Technically, the second intro lets you be either a newly transferred student or an old one. But better go in as a newbie first. If the AI starts slopping — the ride takes 4 hours.
⭐ If you play again, I recommend writing out your relationships with some of the characters to make it more fun.
⭐ There are no outright evil or good houses, but almost all my brats ended up in Sirin. Make of that what you will

🪶  The extended version includes the Toska fan-made characters + the twins from Neon + Sacrament (except Rose and Wyatt). Just download it, disable the characters you don't need, remove their mentions from the card (it's conveniently split into students by house), and play. Or take the whole cast — it's fun. Welcome to the wewwaverse.

🐍  For Janitor players there's a Google Doc with the extra cast. Just copy a character's description and add it to the game via OOC / chat memory.

🌙  I'm not sure Janitor can handle the card. A Janitor card has a completely different structure — I tried to rework everything for you as best I could.

FRIENDLY REMINDER for the card to work properly: want a character in the scene — mention them. See the AI pulling the wrong descriptions before the character's entry activated — clean it out, continue / trigger the entry, reroll.

In Rowling's canon there are two lines about it. Two. Damn. Lines.

Everything that exists about Koldovstvorets is fanon. I don't claim canon, God forbid. This is my vision, seasoned with updated Potterverse knowledge, my take on armchair mythology, and a bit of whatever Taiga and some kid on a playground threw in — the kid who saw me lying on the ground sketching a rough draft of the setting system. The card is tuned for slice of life and coming of age; the evil evil is Kashpirovsky, and finally I can just write that, because he managed to pass into the next world while I was making this setting. To summon him, wait for his tour of the school / watch TV — but he might show up on his own.

It doesn't feel like HP, imho. But maybe that's exactly what made me personally stay.

Check out the website before I release the lorebook expansion and the wiki — it makes finding your way around easier. But I recommend going in as a transfer student on your first run.
