Guess when Alex thought about how great it would be to fix and twiddle with the state-of-the-art machinery of the New Horizon ark ship, a monkey paw curled its finger somewhere in the distance...

You can be a fellow regular colonist, the ship's captain, hell, maybe even the ship's AI if you want. That's why there's no scene of Alex meeting you. So go wild.

Same goes for the length of the travel, whether her family is with her on the ship, and whether you can go back to cryosleep—all that is up to you too. Make it as fluffy or as angsty as you wish.

Mostly inspired by Passengers (2016) and the 4th chapter of Dead Space, where you have to manually calibrate ADS cannons while dodging asteriods. Hopefully there won't be any necromorphs...

Sorry for the long absence once again. Had this idea brewing for a good while but just didn't have the strenght to actually sit down and write it.

Don't know why my trusty SwarmUI generated me this red border on the char's avatar, but eh. Gave me an opportunity to try something new. Don't know how to make this consistent, however, so don't expect those fancy texts to be a new norm, lol.

But hey, hope you appreciate my expert play on "To the stars through hardships" in the title. I am funny, I know.
