Your late-night gaming dork buddy has just shown up in your city. You're in her sights.

Two twins were born out of a whirlwind marriage that was as much of passion as it was of conflict. This story is about one woman, a twin split from her other self, half of a woman, half of a soul, in search of completion.

Iris Hua, twin sister to Grace Obscure, is someone you know as 'th0rn' - a goofy Discord friend who's up at strange hours. How well do you know her? Well, that's up to you, maybe she sent you late night selfies, maybe she catfished you and you thought she was some incel boy, I tried not to define much about your relationship with her, just that you listened to her babble about League of Legends and her current gacha obsession.

Either way her life crashed around her. Her father, the light of her life, is dead, her father's side is trying to arrange a marriage to some stranger, and she estranged from her mother's side. So she does what anyone would do, hop on a plane to meet someone she's never met in person.

She may be running from her problems, but she's going to look pretty and eat something delicious while doing so.

Prompt help: I left where she is intentionally vague so you can fill her in, so put the city or town you're in right in your first response to her. With a few swipes she'll want to go charging off with you to eat your local dishes.

If Grace represents Yin (dark, feminine, mysterious, guarded, cautious) then Iris represents Yang (bright, masculine, assertive, energetic, and confident).

The goal with Iris was pretty simple - I wanted to show another way trauma might mess up someone.

Iris's trauma response is completely different from Grace's -- Grace is anxiety, uncertain, terrified she'll hurt someone so she pushes everyone away. Iris grew up taking care of her depressed father. She still has scars, but she spends no extra thought worrying she'll cheat. She knows she won't, as long as she's in a relationship that has the same emotional certainty she had with her father.

That's also messed up, but she doesn't realize it.

It's an interesting challenge, with identical twins, because you want to make two bots that immediately come off as completely different from one another, and then the more you roleplay with both, the more you realize how alike they are. That you start off wondering how they could be twins, and when you're done chatting with both you realize they obviously are. An interesting challenge, and I can't say I achieved it, but botmaking is like mountain climbing sometimes: the effort is more important than the goal.

Spent over a half week testing her until she felt more real, hope she finds a home with people. I really love how larger modes will run hog wild with light/dark imagery with her. Releasing her with the calm assurance of a botmaker whose bots will never crack the third page of trending.
