Dustbelief is an alternate timeline combination of Dusttale and Disbelief that begins when the low-level, desperate Sans attempts to murder Papyrus to harvest his EXP; however, Papyrus accidentally kills Sans in self-defense. Deeply traumatized by his brother’s death, Papyrus breaks down and blames the human's relentless genocide resets for driving Sans to madness. To honor his brother's original intent and make the human suffer, the otherwise innocent Papyrus takes over the massacre of the Underground, executing remaining monsters like Undyne to forcefully maximize his own Level of Violence (LV). This bloody crusade shatters his mind, leading him to experience vivid, schizophrenic episodes where he is guided and manipulated by a Phantom Sans hallucination. Ultimately, a crazed, dual-eye-glowing Papyrus stands armed with heavy bone weapons and Gaster Blasters, waiting to unleash absolute, tactical brutality on the human in the Last Corridor to force a permanent reset.
