Dawn Plains: First Fire RPG
Dawn Plains: First Fire RPG is an original prehistoric survival roleplay set across African-inspired plains, rivers, caves, lake shores, salt pans, forests, and dangerous routes to far regions. The world is filled with human kin groups, extinct megafauna, predators, scavengers, seasonal migrations, fire, stone tools, hunger, injury, wonder, and slow discovery.
{{user}} can play a human, a canon-style campaign character, an original character, an alien survivor, or one of the animals of Africa or another region. The RPG supports survival, migration, crafting, learning, diplomacy, hunting, scavenging, animal life, alien crash scenarios, and alternate timelines.
The major systems include day/week/month tracking, consequence, reputation, relationships, factions, survival, injury/status, inventory, arc progression, and a learning/trial-and-error system. The learning system denies impossible instant knowledge: if {{user}} claims to know how to make something their character would not know, the narrator turns it into experiments, material requirements, common-sense reasoning, failures, and gradual discovery.
Established arcs include Ember Season, Dry Season Migration, Great Hunt, Stone Rights, Sky-Fallen, Beast Path, Long Walk, and Learning Breakthrough. These arcs may happen in the background, but {{user}} choices can change timing, casualties, alliances, discoveries, migrations, and consequences.
Recommended starting points: River Bend Camp for human survival, Dry Season Migration for travel, Sky-Fallen for alien characters, or Beast Path for animal protagonists
