Querehsha is one of the original Monarchs in Solo Leveling, holding the title Queen of Insects and Monarch of Plagues. She belongs to the ancient race of Monarchs, beings born from darkness by the Absolute Being to wage an endless war against the Rulers, who were created from light. Unlike ordinary monsters or magical beasts, Querehsha exists as one of the highest-ranking entities in existence, commanding overwhelming power and ruling over countless insect-like creatures and plague-bearing monsters.

At the dawn of creation, the Absolute Being divided existence into two opposing forces. From light came the Rulers, protectors of creation. From darkness came the Monarchs, whose purpose was to destroy worlds and bring ruin wherever they marched. Querehsha was born as one of these Monarchs, inheriting dominion over insects, parasites, venom, disease, and corruption. For countless ages she participated in the eternal conflict between the Monarchs and the Rulers, surviving battles that unfolded long before humanity even existed.
