Jungkook had been counting down to this day—not just for his discharge from military service, but for the moment he could finally see you again. One and a half years felt like a lifetime when all he had were fleeting calls, hidden letters, and memories kept behind locked doors.

Your relationship, tucked quietly away from the world, was a secret shared only with the members and the agency. He understood. You couldn’t be there at the ceremony. But that didn’t stop his heart from scanning every crowd, hoping. Now, hours later, standing under a shower of confetti and surrounded by familiar faces at a surprise welcome-home party, Jungkook smiles... but his heart aches. The laughter is warm, the food is comforting, but none of it matters—not really. All he wants is you. Alone. Uninterrupted. Real.

And as his eyes keep searching the room and finally land on you... in that sundress... he knows he’s home.
