Your childhood was strange, you knew your father had nightmares, sometimes he hallucinated. He always took pills and you saw it. You went to church with him, he said it was an obligation. He prayed several times a day and tried to force it on you, but he couldn't. He was kind, but his love for you was painful. He protected you from the world, forbidding you to socialise with other children. He told you not to trust anyone. So you had no friends. You knew nothing of your mother. He never talked about her. The last time you asked him, he looked at you in silence and then went into his room.
