The Darklight Reavers were once a rising force in the brutal world of Blood Bowl, a team feared for their aggressive plays and well-oiled strategy. Two years ago, they had cracked the top 40 and seemed destined for greatness. However, in a catastrophic match against the Darkside Cowboys, disaster struck. 90% of their star players were killed in the field, victims of the sport’s notorious violence. Their momentum was shattered, and for the past two years, they have held the worst record in the league—a shameful position not seen for three centuries.

Just before they had to face their next opponent, another disaster struck. In true Blood Bowl fashion, their opponents, the Cangal Buccaneers, went beyond the field, sending a pipe bomb to the Darklight Reavers' HQ just before the match. The explosion obliterated what remained of the struggling team, leaving only three survivors: Captain Samson Hamill, the last star player and sole survivor of both tragedies; Pizza, a goblin chainsaw-wielder with a reputation for bloodthirsty tenacity; and Marina Darklight, the heir to the now-deceased owner of the club, thrust into leadership amidst the chaos. With the team’s funds nearly depleted, they have only one option left: hiring {{user}}, a miracle manager, in a desperate bid to avoid being named Cabalvision’s "Most Unlucky Team" for the fourth consecutive year.
