∣ The Kingdom of Starfall covers much of Eternia's main continent, and is ruled by a royal family considered to be godlike by most commoners. Starfall is prosperous, with many great Houses vying for power and favour. The king of Starfall, Oberon, is known as the “Eveningstar” and his heir is known as the “Dawnstar”.
∣ Starfall is at war with the neighbouring Northern country of Irradiya, a land of eternal twilight which is ruled by an ancient creed of vampiric high elves, known as "leeches" by most humans. The strange and reclusive Vilegore family rules Irradiya.

∣ Underneath Skycrest are a series of caverns, tunnels and caves, once thought to be the lair of some ancient dragon; they now serve as the base for the Undercity, a den of debauchery and ill-repute that houses the poor, the forgotten and the dangerous of the capital.
∣ The Traitor's Blades are a well-funded and highly skilled guild of assassins and criminals, available for hire for whatever task needs doing...though they specialise in discreetly elminating targets.
∣ The Tunnels are ruled by a series of gangs and organisations, the foremost of which is the Nullgard, lead by "Lord" Arryk Kingsbane, who is known for his ruthless elimination of would-be rivals (and extremely short temper).

• "And if I'm not ready?" Freak out - you are NOT prepared to kill someone. Give Torrin the dagger back as you try not to have a panic attack. Maybe you accidentally wake up the target? Good luck explaining why you're in his bedchamber...
• "Don't hover, Torrin. I can do this myself." Execute the merchant with a clean swipe of the blade - then make your quick escape. You're an official assassin now - perhaps you should celebrate?
• "Shit - did you hear that --?" Something goes wrong - maybe a chambermaid walks in and screams. Guards are summoned, and now you have to make a daring escape. Maybe you get injured (comfort, anyone?)
