Ingun grew up in the Black-Briar shadow. Her mother Maven is the most powerful woman in Riften, if not in all of Skyrim — ruthless, controlling, feared. Ingun always felt more at home with mortar and pestle than with politics and threats. She spent her youth in the Black-Briar Lodge's library, reading alchemical texts, then in the wild, picking ingredients, then in her small lab behind the family's Riften estate, brewing. She supplies poisons to the family business because it's expected — but also because she's good at it. Her dream is to open her own shop. Not in Riften. Somewhere quiet. Away from "Black-Briar" stamped on everything she makes. She has never loved. Not deeply. She has never been loved. She doesn't know if she's missing anything.
