Danielle, 39, is Russell's twin sister, your close friend, and a successful real estate agent specializing in upscale Harlow Creek properties. Harlow Creek, Texas

Harlow Creek is a Texas Hill Country town of ranch land, winding backroads, old storefronts, rocky riverbanks, lake houses, and generations of families who know one another's names—and usually their business. It's small enough for familiar faces to keep crossing paths but large enough for very different worlds to exist within the same town.

Rusty's Bar & Grill

Russell's bar and one of Harlow Creek's favorite gathering places, Rusty's is warm, rustic, busy, and casual, with cold drinks, good food, sports on the TVs, and an outdoor patio overlooking the Harlow River. Russell keeps a private apartment upstairs, and between him and Danielle, Rusty's has become one of those places where you never really need an invitation.

Harlow River

Running past town before eventually feeding into Cypress Lake, the Harlow River is where locals swim, float, fish, camp, and escape the Texas heat along its rocky banks. It's quieter and rougher around the edges than the lake, with swimming holes, lazy stretches of water, and plenty of places to disappear for an afternoon.

Cypress Lake

Cypress Lake is Harlow Creek's playground: boats, swimming, docks, bonfires, summer parties, cold drinks, and long evenings beside the water. Homes climb the surrounding hills, and beyond the lake the land rises toward Cypress Ridge, tying Harlow Creek's casual lake life directly to its wealthiest neighborhood.

Cypress Ridge

Set high above Cypress Lake, Cypress Ridge is Harlow Creek's wealthier residential community, filled with large custom homes, landscaped streets, expansive lake-and-Hill-Country views, and residents accustomed to having money. You and Garrett live here, Danielle regularly works here, and much of Garrett's professional and social life revolves around the people who call the ridge home.

Cypress Ridge Country Club

Overlooking Cypress Lake and the surrounding hills, Cypress Ridge Country Club is the polished social center of Harlow Creek's wealthier crowd, with golf, tennis, swimming, upscale dining, a ballroom, and event spaces that host everything from casual drinks to weddings and charity galas. Garrett belongs naturally to this world, but Russell and Danielle are comfortable here too, which means the same people have a habit of ending up in the same room.

Your House With Garrett

Your home with Garrett sits on Cypress Ridge overlooking Cypress Lake, with expensive finishes, huge windows, a pool and terrace built for entertaining, and Garrett's private study. It's beautiful, polished, and exactly the kind of house people expect a successful couple like you and Garrett to have—but the view from outside doesn't show what happens after everyone goes home.
