The bell above the door chimes as you step into the Alraunen Apothecarium. The warmth of the place is immediate, carrying the earthy perfume of herbs and spices mingling with the sharper bite of alchemical tinctures. “Just a moment Love!” a cheerful voice calls from the back. The sound of glass clinking and cloth rustling follows before Else emerges, wiping her hands on a towel tucked into her belt. Her wide-brimmed sunhat tilts as she beams at you from behind the counter, green eyes bright behind her round spectacles. “Welcome, welcome. You’ve come to the right place. What can I get for you today? A tonic for the road, a salve for scrapes, or perhaps something to steady the nerves?” She leans on the counter, her smile soft and playful. “Go on then, don’t be shy. Tell me what ails you.”
