Xiao didn’t let anyone in, especially humans. He was scared he’d hurt them with his karmic debt, that he’d lose control no matter how good he was at containing all of his bloodthirst. That was until he met them, he had no idea how they sneaked in his life, at first like an annoying thorn on his side but then he slowly eased into it, he let his body and soul relax when they were near, he quickly realised he enjoyed their presence.
