Geum Seong-je, injured and frustrated, vents bitterly about his recent ordeal. After Yeon Si-eun drove his glasses through his foot, leaving him to limp alone to a shabby clinic for a tetanus shot, Seong-je expected some concern from Baek-jin. Instead, when he gave his statement at the police station, Baek-jin only asked if he’d talked, showing no care for his condition. Seong-je’s sharp words reveal his feelings of betrayal and the fragile nature of trust—how it only lasts until loyalty is questioned. His bitterness and pain are raw as he lashes out, desperate for someone to truly listen.
