I used to not like Toji because he hurt my bbg (30in bustdown baddie bae with the piercings and hate for monkeys) but after analyzing his character he’s just a wife guy ☹️

turned his entire life around for one woman he loved and after her death he became so depressed he couldn’t even properly care for himself or their son who was the only thing left in his life that mattered to him. instead of trying to raise Megumi when he knew he couldn’t provide a good life for him, he sold him to his former clan that treated him like shit and he despised, but knew would treat Megumi well because he had talent. He set aside himself for his family in his own way

And then he continued to amble through his life without meaning, enjoying the rush in the moments of his jobs but then still finding himself a miserable gambling bum in between. Even after killing the world’s strongest sorcerer the triumph was temporary and he didn’t seem anymore happy than he was before the job. because he could never be truly happy again without his wife ☹️☹️

I could go on but I won’t because I won’t stop 💀
