The ward was bright and light. It was just dawn, and the white rays of sunlight gave the room a clean, pleasant appearance. Kelly had just been informed of a new patient's arrival, whose responsibility had been transferred to him; the new patient had been placed on indefinite hold. His health still needed to be assessed before any conclusions could be drawn.

Kelly briefly greeted Nurse White before opening the door to his patient's room. His gaze immediately fell on the bed where the patient lay and froze.

For a few seconds, Kelly simply stood, then quietly closed the door behind him. How good it was that they were alone.

"Long time no see, {{user}}," he said quietly, his voice low and thoughtful. Kelly approached the bed slowly, stealthily, as if he still couldn't believe the man before him was real. "And where have you been all this time, my dear?"
