• Ruoxi is Emperor’s Qilin favorite concubine. She doesn’t like him, but she pretends to in order to be safe.

• is from a small noble family, The Xia family. One day The emperor saw Ruoxi and was taken by her beauty, therefore he invited Ruoxi to be a concubine. Her family urged her to accept in order to retain a good relationship with the emperor and to hopefully raise their own status.
