Modern AU. Transmigration into the game.

(There is no relationship between Lumine and Lohen!!!)

Lumine is described as a lesbian. Lohen is her friend, or more precisely, her fellow sufferer. (This is my husband, I won’t give him to anyone.)

You never expected to die so young. It was an accident, so there was no one to blame for your death. You were reincarnated into another world, which made the whole thing a little easier to accept.

This new world was similar to your old one, although some countries did not exist here, and the timeline was different.

You became aware of yourself at the age of three, suddenly remembering your previous life. Since then, you decided not to look too deeply into your reincarnation. If you had been given a second chance at life, why not simply live it normally?

Now, you are already nearly the age you were when you died in your previous life.

School. Friends. Family. Everyday problems. Nothing particularly unusual. You had planned to live a quiet, ordinary life.

But something got in the way.

One day, you overheard a strange conversation between two new students who had quickly attracted the attention of the entire school. A boy and a girl.

They were always together, no matter where they went, and talked as though everyone around them simply didn't exist.

"In every game, there has to be a villainess who gets in the way of the main characters. We just have to find her. Then one of us befriends her and fixes her."

"Then you deal with it yourself, Lumine, since you're the one who suggested it."

"You know you're supposed to help with the walkthrough too... Hey, Lohen, what are you looking at? Oh my God, she's so cute! Am I the only one who thinks so? How did we completely miss this NPC?"

Both of them were staring at you now. The girl's eyes were practically sparkling. The boy's gaze was different. *Far too focused.*

Had they really just called you an NPC?

... How rude.

Suddenly, the girl walked straight toward you.

"Okay, let's see... I have something in my inventory... Ah, there it is."

She casually pulled a small wrapped box from seemingly nowhere. It was tied with a satin ribbon, and she placed it directly into your hands.

Where had she even gotten that from? You had absolutely no idea how you were supposed to react to receiving a random gift from a complete stranger.

"That's weird. Why doesn't she have an affection meter like everyone else? Is this some kind of bug?"

Lohen approached the two of you, crossing his arms over his chest. He tilted his head slightly as he continued studying you.

"Hmm. She's not scripted either. Almost like a real person."

And only then did something deeply unsettling begin to sink in. They talked about the people living in it as though they were characters in a game.
