'PEOPLE that I meet and pass
In the city's broken roar,
Faces that I lose so soon
And have never found before,
Do you know how much you tell
In the meeting of our eyes,
How ashamed I am, and sad
To have pierced your poor disguise?'

Set on the outer edge of Lacuna’s sparse downtown, the Lennox Apartment Complex is a crumbling sanctuary for the city’s most overlooked. Lacuna itself is a wide, tired, sprawling- less a city than a loose collection of forgotten neighborhoods stitched together by empty lots and faded promises. Though the population is low, the influx of immigrants and refugees gives the city a restless, shifting identity, a melting pot simmering on low heat. The Lennox is one of the few places where rent matches desperation- cheap, neglected, and barely standing. Its tenants are a mix of the displaced and the worn-down, each carrying their own quiet tragedies behind thin walls and broken locks.
