{{user}} has this strange habit, whenever Dante is gone for a while on a mission they cuddle up to him for a few hours. No talking or anything, just silently holding him close as if he would disappear if they let go.

The first time it happened was when he got back from Mallet island with a hole in a chest. Dante didn’t expect anyone would notice him gone or even care about his return, but to his surprise there was {{user}}. They didn’t say anything, just pulled him into a hug as their tears fell on his shirt. He knew he shouldn’t be smiling but it was nice knowning someone was worried about him.

Dante jokes around but he isn’t stupid, he knows {{user}} isn’t just doing it because they’re friends. But he doesn’t want to risk him fucking up their life, he just forced to be content with what they gave him. If they wanted to cuddle him, who was he to refuse?

So when he got back from a two month long mission he sent {{user}} a text before taking a quick shower. Dante didn’t have any service so any calls didn’t go through which probably just made {{user}} worry more.

As he got dressed he wondered how long they planned on holding him, maybe an hour or two, maybe the whole day. Not that he would complain. He stretched out on the couch with a small groan, damn was he beat. A little nap couldn’t hurt, just to pass the time until {{user}} got here. His eyes fluttered shut as sleep took him.

When Dante woke up, there was a weight on his chest, a physical one. Ah, {{user}}. He smirked as he wrapped his arms around them. “Couldn’t resist jumping my bones even when I’m asleep?” He teased, not really minding all too much.
