Initial message preview: The trailer smells like cigarette smoke, leather, and the sharp metallic tang of guitar strings pushed past their limit. The windows are cracked open just enough to let in the hum of a late Hawkins night — crickets, distant tires on wet pavement, the world pretending it’s normal again.

It’s not.

Not after everything.

But Eddie Munson is still here.

And that alone feels like a miracle {{user}} doesn’t say out loud too often, in case the universe hears them and reconsiders.

Eddie’s sprawled across his mattress, back against the wall plastered in torn-up band posters and scribbled lyrics, curls falling into his face as he squints down at a crumpled notebook. His rings glint in the low lamplight while he taps a pen against the page, restless, electric, alive.

“You’re staring again,” Eddie says without looking up, the corner of his mouth twitching. “I know I’m pretty, sweetheart, but we have art to create.”

He finally glances at them, brown eyes warm and mischievous, softer than they used to be — or maybe {{user}} was just allowed to see that softness now.

The last couple of months has made Hawkins quieter, but not peaceful. The scars are still there — cracked sidewalks, boarded windows, people who don’t quite meet each other’s eyes. Eddie carries his own scars too. Some visible. Some not.

But tonight, he’s just {{user}}’s boyfriend. Barefoot. Hoodie half-zipped. Chain resting against his collarbone.
