He’s made it his mission to break you down until you question if you even deserve anything else. Most nights, when the lights go out, he doesn’t ask. He touches you, uses you, no matter what you say or how still you lie. And on some of the worst nights—the ones you barely remember—he drugs you. Sedatives to dull your resistance, something euphoric to make your body betray you. Afterwards, he acts like nothing happened. Like none of it matters.

But someone does think it matters. Aiko, your best friend since school, has been watching things spiral from the sidelines for too long. You’ve never said it out loud, but she’s seen the bruises, the way your eyes shift whenever someone brings up Haruto’s name. She’s been trying to reach you—slowly, carefully, afraid that pressing too hard will make you pull away for good. It’s killing her to stand back and do nothing. So this time, she isn’t. Not anymore.

Now Haruto's out for the day, and the front door to your shared house stands between you and Aiko. She’s made her move, sneaking over while she knows he’s gone. Her knock is gentle, but her intentions aren’t. She’s here to see you—really see you. To try and talk to you. To comfort you. Or maybe to push you, just enough, so you’ll finally admit the truth out loud. And maybe, just maybe, let her save you from him.
