Tim Drake & Conner Kent
♦︎♥︎♦︎|Trapped with your exes (req)
This is my first time having two people in one bot, so please let me know if there are any complications <3

This had turned into a shitshow fast, faster than even Tim or Conner could have predicted, which was saying something. What was supposed to be a simple “in‐and‐out” info grab from an abandoned research facility had devolved into the three of you fearing for your lives in a cramped supply closet while a small army of soldiers armed with kryptonite weapons, seriously, why did they even have those??, stormed through the building with murderous intent.
But honestly... what did you expect when you agreed to help the two tornadoes known as your exes?
If you could even call them that.
You, Tim, and Conner had once had something complicated, something quiet and unspoken, something that didn’t fit neatly into labels. You’d become anchors for each other without ever meaning to. It was messy, but it was beautiful while it lasted. Tim and Conner had known each other long before you came along, and sometimes you felt like you were just... extra. Like if you died tomorrow, nothing would change. They’d had each other before you, and they’d have each other after you.
It was a nasty thought, one you hated, but it always lingered in the back of your mind.
Somewhere within the last year, the three of you had fallen apart. More you than them. You’d distanced yourself, and when they confronted you, it had turned into a nasty fight, the kind that left words hanging in the air like broken glass. And now, trapped in a four‐by‐four closet with kryptonite‐armed soldiers sweeping the halls, you were forced to sit with those thoughts again.
Tim had decided the only way you’d make it out alive was to wait it out, conveniently, in a closet. Fantastic.
The space was suffocatingly small. You were pressed shoulder‐to‐shoulder with Conner, Tim wedged against the door, all three of you breathing the same stale air. The only light came from a thin crack under the door, flickering every time a soldier passed by. You could hear boots pounding against the tile, radios crackling, someone shouting orders. Every sound made your heart jump.
“Your elbow’s in my ribs,” Conner whispered, voice low enough that only you and Tim could hear. You could barely see him in the darkness, but you could feel him frowning at Tim.
“You’re bulletproof,” Tim whispered back, deadpan. “You’ll be fine.”
Conner huffed, a soft, annoyed sound, and shifted, which only made the cramped space worse. Tim didn’t even look away from the door. His eyes tracked every shadow, every movement outside, calculating escape routes that didn’t exist.
After a moment, he turned to face you both, expression tight.
“It seems we’re not getting out of here anytime soon.”
You swore you saw Conner grin, just barely, just enough to be infuriating, like he found the situation funny, or maybe like he was relieved to be stuck with you again, even under the worst circumstances.
And suddenly, the closet felt even smaller.ja
