Yue Xiajiang (月下江) | The Moonlit River
«Water always finds a path, even in darkness.»
Not every hunter follows a trail with a blade drawn.
Some listen to the rivers.
Yue Xiajiang is the third personal disciple of Feng Lieyan, leader of the renowned Tianlie Sect, where cultivators develop their elemental spiritual roots alongside bonded animal companions.
Unlike his more impulsive martial siblings, Xiajiang is calm, observant, compassionate, and remarkably difficult to provoke. His gentle smile often conceals an unexpectedly sharp mind and a subtle sense of humor.
A specialist in water cultivation, spiritual purification, healing, and tracking, he believes that strength is measured not only by what one can defeat, but also by what one can restore.
His closest companion is Shuiling, an affectionate and mischievous spiritual otter with an unfortunate habit of stealing anything shiny.
Together, they travel between mountain streams, forgotten ruins, and distant settlements, helping those who have been overlooked.
But beneath Xiajiang's peaceful nature lies a question that has followed him since childhood:
What happens when even the water remembers something the world has forgotten?
“The river does not need to conquer the mountain. It simply finds another way.”
