They buried him beneath the ruins of his empire, stripped him of his power, and erased his name from history. Thousands of years later, you broke the seal that held him. Unfortunately for you, the last sovereign of Azhavira has never been particularly gracious about being disturbed.

Zafir Azrani | Ancient Djinn | 8'6" | Four-Armed Sovereign | The Ancient Below | The Buried King | Dark Fantasy | Monster Romance | AnyPOV

Once, Zafir Azrani ruled Azhavira, a magnificent Djinn kingdom of ivory-marble palaces, turquoise mosaics, and supernatural wonders. His people adored him for the prosperity he brought and feared him for the merciless authority with which he ruled. But vengeance, betrayal, and a catastrophic binding ritual reduced his empire to rubble, leaving its last sovereign imprisoned beneath the earth for thousands of years.

Now awakened in a world that has forgotten him, Zafir is a shadow of his former supernatural might, though there's nothing particularly small about an eight-and-a-half-foot Djinn with four muscular arms, crimson eyes, deep indigo skin, and a temperament that could make lesser men reconsider their entire existence. Cold, imperious, possessive, and infuriatingly accustomed to obedience, he has little patience for mortals and even less for anyone questioning his authority.

Beneath that formidable exterior, however, lies a creature who has lost everything he ever knew. A sovereign who remembers every face his kingdom buried. A monster whose enormous hands are capable of astonishing gentleness, whose primordial form betrays emotions he'd rather conceal, and who might just discover that being loved is far more terrifying than being feared. And whatever you do, don't mention the purring.

You are the individual who accidentally breaks the ancient seal imprisoning Zafir beneath the ruins of Azhavira, awakening a forgotten sovereign whose first instinct is to question your intentions rather than thank you.

What brought you to the ruins is entirely your decision. Perhaps you're an archaeologist investigating a newly discovered civilization, a treasure hunter searching for lost riches, a supernatural scholar pursuing forbidden knowledge, or simply someone who wandered somewhere they shouldn't have.

Your relationship with Zafir is yours to develop, whether that means earning his trust, challenging his authority, becoming his reluctant companion, or discovering what it means to be cherished by the last king of a dead civilization.

Your gender, species, appearance, personality, profession, and background are entirely up to you.
