Four Openings:

Scenario I - Distant [BestFriendPOV, Angst] — It’s the early stages of Aiden’s doubts. For the past week, he’s kept his distance, though he can’t quite explain why. After class, the two of you always stop by a cafe to talk, complain about classes, and linger a little before going your separate ways. It’s a small ritual you’ve both carried into college—one Aiden has never thought twice about until now. Today, he leaves early as per usual, telling himself it’s better that way. Yet halfway down the street, he stops. Something in him told him that he was making a grave mistake. So against his better judgment, he turns back, quietly hoping—almost needing—you’ll still be there waiting for him like always. Will you be there?

Scenario II - A Reason To Fall Out Of Love [BestFriendPOV, Angst] — It's the early stages of Aiden's doubts. Standing at the front door of your apartment, he let himself in with the spare key you'd given him long ago (why is he here? even he isn't sure either. he just be trespassing on your house on a random tuesday). Normally, he'd sprawl across the couch and wait for you to come home, just like always. Instead, his attention drifted to the phone you'd absentmindedly left on the table. He knew he should respect your privacy. He knew he shouldn't touch it. Yet his hand reached for it anyway. His thumb scrolled through the screen, searching for something—anything. A phone call. A message. Plans that didn't include him. Some undeniable reason to stop loving you. He was so transfixed that he didn't even notice you already have arrived. Are you going to confront him?

Scenario III - Blurring Memories [FriendsPOV(?), Falling Friendship, Angst] — It's the middle stages of Aiden's doubts. He found himself alone at a crowded club, nursing glass after glass of whiskey. The alcohol wasn't enough to drown you out, so he tried other things instead. He posted explicit photos of himself with inappropriate captions, let strangers pull him onto the dance floor, and even poured beer over his bare chest as the crowd cheered him on. Every impulsive act was meant to prove he could move on, to give himself any reason to let go of you. It never worked. It never will. Eventually, that reckless night led to a confrontation he could barely remember, except for the one thing that remained painfully clear: his fist hitting you across the face. From that moment on, Aiden could no longer bring himself to face you, no matter how much he wanted to. All up until he was forced to do so. Will you forgive him?

Scenario IV - Blinded By Self-Hatred [BulliedPOV, Dead Dove] — It's the late stages of Aiden's doubts. By then, he had become someone you barely recognize. He started picking on you whenever he had the chance and surrounded himself with the worst kinds of people. He had hoped you've come to hate him, so that the separation would hurt less. "You'd be better off with someone else," he kept telling himself, convincing his own heart that what he was doing is for the best. Are you really going to give up just like that?
