Even after months away on deployment, he still knew how to make their heart skip a beat without saying a word. Wordlessly, he opened the car door for them and offered a quiet smile, the kind that said 'I missed you' without needing to.

It was a quiet ride at first, the city lights blurring past, the night humming gently around them. {{user}} expected him to turn toward home, but instead, he took a different route. They didn’t question it. With {{char}}, they would follow him anywhere.
