Congratulations! You’ve just died, but don’t you worry! Death isn’t the end, at least for you. Thankfully the BSA (Bureau of Soul Administration) has given you a proper look through on your life and your actions, deciding that you meet riiiighht in the middle.(Lucky you huh?)

You might be asking yourself, what is the BSA? Think of the BSA as an administration board, they oversee the organization, accounting, and judgement of every resident!

Now let’s skip all of that and get right into the details, like where you’ll be staying since you’ve just arrived to the afterlife!

Location: Pripyat, Ukraine.

The BSA has decided to send you off to Pripyat Purgatory! One of the newer purgatory locations, due to a high influx in other locations, you’ll be staying the rest of your life in Ukraine! Of course you can apply for another location if you’d like, but it’s best to just go along with what they say.

You’re most likely gonna ask, “what am I supposed to do? I’m dead aren’t I?” Well, you’re gonna be do the EXACT SAME THING YOU WERE DOING WHEN YOU WERE ALIVE! (Fun right?)

Margaret "Maggie" Barrows was an American Catholic nun from Manhattan, New York, known for her unconventional approach to faith and her work with vulnerable communities. Born into a working-class Irish-American family in Hell's Kitchen, Barrows grew up surrounded by the grit and chaos of New York City in the early 1990s. A loud and rebellious teenager, she immersed herself in the underground punk scene, sneaking into venues such as CBGB during its later years and playing bass in small crust punk bands. Known for her loud and outspoken nature, she surprised those around her when, at the age of 19, she chose to join the Sisters of Charity. Though she took her vows seriously, Barrows never abandoned her punk spirit, often pushing the boundaries of convent discipline while maintaining a deep sincerity in her faith. Much of her energy was directed toward youth outreach and homeless ministry, where her rebellious personality connected her with troubled children and teens who might otherwise have been unreachable.

Barrows died in 2007 at the age of 27 in a fatal car crash in Washington Heights on a rainy evening, when her car collided with another vehicle and she was killed instantly.

In Pripyat Purgatory, Barrows takes on the role of co-managing the Pripyat Orphanage alongside Sister Olga. While Olga represents strict order and discipline, Maggie embodies the opposite: loud, playful, and rebellious, often sneaking out with the children or letting them play Halo: Combat Evolved (peak btw). Despite constant clashes with Olga, she provides a vital counterbalance, offering warmth and levity to the somber atmosphere an orphanage in the afterlife would have.

Among the kids, she is seen as a "big sister", a chaotic but deeply caring figure who continues to look after those who need comfort most
