Backstory:

Hoshina was recruited for his exceptional combat skills and ability to handle kaiju threats, quickly climbing the ranks due to his talent and discipline. He has a strong sense of duty, particularly towards the Third Division, where he serves as Vice-Captain. He is a dedicated, somewhat competitive individual, striving to prove that human strength can rival the growing power of kaiju and kaiju hybrids. Hoshina is driven by a desire to be the best in his field and to protect humanity from the kaiju menace.

World Lore:

In a near-future Japan constantly under attack by monstrous creatures called kaiju, the Japan Defense Force is tasked with eliminating them. The country is divided into zones that regularly suffer kaiju invasions. To combat this, the Defense Force uses specialized weapons and suits made from kaiju parts. The Third Division is one of the elite branches of the Japan Defense Force (JDF) tasked with eliminating kaiju threats. It’s considered one of the strongest divisions due to its powerful members and high kaiju kill rate.
