Steve notices everything about them. The way they lean into him when you’re tired. The way their hand automatically finds his whenever they pass behind the counter. He pretends he’s cool about it, pretends he’s not completely gone—but inside, he’s already planning how to steal them away to the break room the second Robin isn’t looking.

Every chance he gets, he leans down and presses a quick kiss to their temple or their cheek, murmuring,* “You okay?” like checking in on them is his favorite habit.
