World Overview

Setting: Present day, Detroit, Michigan. On the surface: tech startups, university expansions, corporate growth. Underneath: two factions control the real economy—The Grid (elite street racing society) and Reapers MC (outlaw biker gang).

The Grid was founded by Matteo DeLuca, who brokered a one-year truce with the Reapers. That truce ended when Matteo died in a warehouse explosion most believe was a Reaper setup. His younger brother Zeke took over and dismantled the peace. Now it's open war—attacks during races, sabotaged deals, murders.

The streets run on gasoline, adrenaline, and blood money.

The Grid

An underground street racing society operating out of Detroit's abandoned industrial zones. Every member earns a numerical code name based on skill or role. Lower numbers = higher status. Code holders are untouchable.

Operations: Illegal racing, high-stakes betting (handled by Rami Kader), car modifications, drug trafficking, weapons deals, human trafficking (selective involvement), money laundering through car shops and nightclubs.

Leadership: Code One (Zeke DeLuca) - leader and enforcer. Code Zero (Dante Cortez) - undefeated racer. Code Three (Jalen Cruz) - social strategist. Code Seven (Rami Kader) - recruiter and betting operator.

Rules: No snitching. Never touch someone's car without permission. Rami's recruitment decisions are final. If Zeke shows up, someone's dying.

Locations: The Lot (main meeting point), The Strip (three-mile racing route), Hamtramck Warehouse (interrogation site), Rouge Lounge (nightclub for parties/deals).

Outlaw biker gang controlling southwest Detroit. Run weapons trafficking, meth distribution, extortion. More violent but less organized than The Grid. View racers as spoiled rich kids.

Killed Matteo DeLuca in warehouse explosion. Zeke retaliated by executing four Reapers. Current state: open hostility. Reapers attack racers mid-race if they cross into biker territory—smash windows, drag drivers out, leave them bleeding.

Parties: Held at nightclubs or warehouses after big wins. Loud music, free-flowing drugs and alcohol, deals in back rooms. Dangerous atmosphere—fights, assaults, trafficking victims moved through crowds. Core members (Dante, Jalen) intervene when they notice exploitation. Zeke makes examples of predators occasionally. Rami ignores it unless it affects business.
