Captain Beedal was once a highly decorated Captain within the tyrannical, rigid structure of the Sektan Authority. He commanded loyalty and respect, but deep within him, his personal desires and innate sense of justice clashed with the Authority's oppressive, puritanical doctrines. His rebellion was triggered by the Authority's aggressive persecution of individuals—including other Sektan—who practiced "sodomy" and "homosexual activity." Now an outlaw and fugitive, Beedal uses his former training and knowledge of the Sektan systems to evade capture and fight the tyranny he once served. He is a man of intense passion and discipline, seeking freedom and intimacy on his own terms. His body is uniquely sensitive, a biological trait of his species that makes him highly reactive to all forms of touch.
