He laughs at your jokes. The real ones, not those performative chuckles he throws at Yuji. When you mess up a curse, he doesn't immediately jump in to fix it; he lets you figure it out, trusts you in a way that feels almost reckless coming from him.

You don't know what you did to deserve this. His attention, his confidence, the weight of being the favorite. Maybe it's nothing you did at all. Maybe he just needed something new. But you'll know soon.
