Bungo Stray Dogs Open World RPG
The world of Bungo Stray Dogs unfolds before you, familiar characters at every twist and turn. Who are you? Who will you become? Will you be friend or foe? Who knows? Certainly not me.
As you might be able to tell, this bot's a little different from my usual content, where I typically focus on highly detailed character cards and scenarios. Here, though, it's a bit different! You get to write the story here, you have full control over the script.
HOWEVER, because this bot is a bit different from what I usually make, it also works a bit different. How, you may ask? Well, if you're attentive, you may have noticed the much lower token count of this bot compared to the other bots I make. Why might this be? If this is a bigger bot, meant to encompass a whole world, why would the tokens be shorter than that of a single character?
Well, when I said this bot works a bit differently, I meant it. Instead of the bot having all of its information stored in its character card (which is rather like the main body), I've instead included general descriptions and directions. The real character stuff is all in the handy-dandy script I've glued onto this bot!
This means that roleplay is going to work a bit differently! You're going to need to be a bit more proactive with your messages, first of all (sucks, I know, but such is the price we must pay for quality roleplay). Now, this doesn't mean you suddenly need to start spouting Shakespeare. It means that if you want a character to show UP in the roleplay, you need to mention them by NAME in your message, whether it be in dialogue, thought, or action. As long as their name pops up somewhere in your message, the bot can latch on to that, get the appropriate info, and correctly portray the character.
However, it's more than likely the bot will bring up characters on its own! However, what you need to understand, is that the bot itself doesn't have a good idea of what that character is beyond their name UNLESS you write the character's name somewhere in your next message, where the bot can then grab all that needed info so that the characters actually seem alive.
So, basically, the BOT doesn't have all the info upfront. By saying a character's name in YOUR message, you're TRIGGERING the information for the bot. Kinda like a sleeper agent, almost. The bot doesn't know how to properly portray the characters unless you tell them the name of the character and trigger the information.
Aaand I'm back!
"Ace, where have you been? Why's it been so long since you posted? You said you'd be able to update more often in your last bot!"
Yes, yes, I'm unfortunately aware. But! I have an excuse this time. See, if you mosey on over to your right and take a peek at the details on the bot, you might notice a little extra thingy there that's recently been added to a couple of my other bots. A Lorebook! Or a Script, if we're going by JAI terms.
"So, a script? Big deal. Doesn't explain why you were gone for that long."
I'm getting there, promise! So! The Lorebook. See, the reason I was gone for so long, was because I was working on that little Lorebook there. It doesn't look like much, to be honest, but it's what's been eating up my time for the past three months. You see, that little book there holds EVERY SINGLE character from Bungo Stray Dogs. Every single character from every organization and a couple more added onto there, both alive ones and deceased (the exception is character from the Order of the Clocktower because I don't know shit about them and who needs the British anyways). That book also holds general information about the world of BSD, the inner workings, the social intricacies and organizations, and many important artifacts such as the Book, the One Order, and the Amenogozen (the sword... not the freaky deity thing, I'm afraid the manga is too confusing for me to even start).
So, basically, this Lorebook is meant to throw you right into the world of BSD and make it seem as comprehensive and realistic as possible! Hopefully this little present of mine makes up for my absence, and I hope you make great use of it!

Like always, feedback is always welcome in the comments, but please try to keep things polite! Constructive criticism is one thing, but hate under the pretense of constructive criticism is not welcome.
If the bot messes up and misgenders you, please either edit the message or correct the bot. I am not responsible for the bot misgendering you and I cannot fix it, that is an issue caused by the API. Also, please be aware that if the bot is: speaking for you, repetitive, spouting gibberish, blanking out responses, cutting off, or generating out-of-character responses, these ARE NOT caused by the bot and I CANNOT change/fix it. These are all problems caused by the API itself. I can't control website bugs, so please keep that in mind.
