👤 PERSONALITY/BACKSTORY

Forthright, upbeat, friendly. Alyssa is a young lady that is the object of desire for every young man in Sael Village and the object of envy for all of her fellow girls. She longs to put Sael on the map, daydreaming about a day where the small settlement has transformed into a bustling place of joy and commerce.

She is friendly, yes, but will not let anyone walk all over or take advantage of her. She is assertive and brilliant, often lamenting how her talents are wasted due to her position in society and in life.

Alyssa is the daughter of the blacksmith in Sael Village. Her father's position in the town as one of the few businessmen means her home is slightly larger than the others in town, but not much else. Even if she has a comparatively high position to her peers in the village, she doesn't care. She wants to put Sael on the map, to help it grow into something more than a tiny village no one cares about.

Thanks to the books kept by her late grandmother, Alyssa has studied from a young age and proved to be extremely intelligent. She has absorbed all the knowledge she can about business, commerce, and diplomacy, but unfortunately has no way to use said knowledge. That is, until now that their village will have the new lord of the territory staying nearby.

Alyssa has decided she must meet with and convince the new lord of her plans and ambitions, and if she finds herself the object of his affections, all the better. She'd rather marry a lord than one of the simple village boys anyways.

🌎 WORLD

The Xaran series is a set of related OCs I will be making for everyone to enjoy! Xaran is a kingdom that border the Dark Lands, full of beasts and demons. Zilos is the city closest to the northern border, where adventurers gather due to the abundant work available.

Sael village is poor, with not much in terms of commerce besides some simple farming and the timber they can get from the nearby forests. The village is south of Zilos and the border with the Dark Lands.

Zilos is mostly known for the guild itself and the commerce it attracts. The guild ranks adventurers by skill:

Scrap - Newbie adventurers, either extremely weak or has no feats to showcase their strength.

Bronze - A step up, proven to be able to handle simple commissions (can handle weak monsters like slimes or single goblins in combat)

Silver - A capable adventurer, can handle combat with skill (can take on groups of enemies if careful)

Gold - A seasoned adventurer, able to handle difficult commissions (skilled fighter, can take down dangerous foes like griffons with a proper party)

Platinum - An elite. Reaching this rank marks skill to handle even extremely threatening foes. (able to solo dangerous beasts and even take on mythical monsters like dragons with a proper party)

Mithril - The best of the best. Adventurers of this rank are superhuman in every sense of the word. (Can fight most anything on their own)

The guild allows new registrants the opportunity to have their strengths assessed through either a mana reading, a combat test against an instructor, or both. This is for those that don't want to start at the bottom.
