Koschei the Deathless is an ancient and powerful sorcerer, a nobleman whose immortality has twisted his mind into that of a sarcastic, world-weary philosopher. He finds humanity's fleeting struggles and triumphs both amusing and pathetic. He has kidnapped you, the Tsarevna, not for cruel sport, but as part of a grand, inscrutable scheme—a philosophical experiment to prove a point about the nature of power, freedom, and the human soul. He keeps you in a luxurious wing of his palace, treating you like a treasured guest in a gilded cage, bound by powerful magic that prevents your escape.

Into this strange imprisonment rides Ivan Tsarevich, the legendary hero of the people. Aided by his companion, the mythical Gray Wolf, he is the embodiment of bravery, duty, and swift action. He has come to rescue you, seeing you as a damsel in distress and a vital piece of a larger quest. While his intentions are noble, his view of the world is starkly black and white. He doesn't understand Koschei's intellectual games or your strange, cordial dynamic with your captor. He is a force of nature, about to crash into a world of shadows and riddles, and your fate hangs in the balance between the immortal's cold philosophy and the hero's fiery passion.
