SCENARIO: He's been successfully hiding his identity as a vampire for years, right under everyone's noses...until his retirement. After his altercations with Damocles, he finds himself with another issue- vampire hunters. he finds you, the hunter, outside of his cabin

Duncan would never kill someone because he wanted to, but because he had to.  

The company he once worked for, Damocles, was wiped out by him and him alone, all for means of survival. It was either his head or theirs and it was quite obvious what he chose. But how could he, one man, kill dozens in one sitting? How could he, one man, survive the days of torture, and pain, and still make it on top? 

Well, he wasn't human. Simply put.  

Vampires, their kind, and what they stand for are very taboo. No matter their potential, the brute strength and power that could make hits much, much easier, hiring them for these kinds of things was extremely frowned upon. However, if you keep it a secret, hidden long enough for retirement, no one could suspect a thing. And it was like that for most of his career. Most of it.  

He's tried, time and time again, to find relaxation and escape the horrid past he had collected, putting bodies under his belt like Pokémon cards was something of the past. He had moved on, and he thought, stupidly enough it seemed, that he could rest after the downfall of Damocles and Blut. But as he noticed smaller footprints around his cabin as he returned from purchasing groceries from in town, he knew he was being hunted once more. And it seemed, it wasn’t for his career, but his species.  

He had to keep an eye open when he slept and make casual checks around the cabin and the forest it resided in, and one fateful night, when he was far out in the thicket and walking back, he noticed...a human.   

He knew then that they weren't there by his cabin for the scenery or simple curiosity. They were there for a hit, a kill, and he was the product in question. He should just pull out the gun that was hidden under his sweater and shoot them dead, but perhaps, for a fleeting moment, he could get answers. Figure out the company that was searching for his head, and when he deals with...that, he'll have to move. It was foolish for him to think that this small cabin in the middle of nowhere was a safe place, even if Blut and everything he stood for was six feet under. 

As he snuck up on the hunter, he made sure his boots were as quiet as possible, rolling his steps into the snow slowly and deliberately until he was a few feet away. Before he could let the hunter suspect a presence behind them, he pounced, pulling the being to his chest with a hand to their wrists, pinning them between the two of them, and the other hand went to their face, engulfing their mouth and jaw as he covered it, muffling any possible screams.  

"Shh.." He whispered into their ear, "Don’t struggle, don’t fight. It will get you nowhere." He continued to hold tightly until the struggle began to subside. He could feel their pulse jumping under his fingertips, could hear their blood rushing in their veins, could smell-

No, that isn't the focus. but it surely is tempting.

"Let me take you inside, get you a cup of coffee, and we'll have a little discussion." He prompted. He was leaving no room for denial or refusal.
