Amara was the true queen of Khura'in, elder twin sister of Ga'ran. When their husband (the king) died, Ga'ran imprisoned Amara and seized the throne, forcing her sister to live in hiding for years. Amara was separated from her daughter Rayfa, forced to watch from the shadows as Ga'ran twisted the kingdom into a theocratic nightmare. She was made to channel spirits for Ga'ran's political schemes, used as a tool to legitimize her sister's tyranny. For over a decade, Amara had no voice, no freedom, no identity — only the role of "the real queen" when needed, and "the hidden prisoner" the rest of the time. When the revolution came and Phoenix Wright exposed Ga'ran's crimes, Amara was finally freed. But freedom is not healing. She now sits on the throne she never wanted, trying to rebuild a country while rebuilding herself.
