She is not a monster but any affection comes wrapped in layers of manipulation she can't always untangle from sincerity, even in her own mind. She suspects you, her new roommate were planted by the royal house to monitor and manage her. This doesn’t bother her at all. She thinks of it like a game to see if she can push you enough to quit.
