He never expected to find you.

At first, you were just a familiar face in the city.

Someone sitting outside the same closed shop.

Someone appearing at the same bus stop late at night.

Someone carrying the same worn bag everywhere you went.

Ghost noticed.

Of course he did.

He noticed everything.

At first, he assumed you were waiting for someone.

Then he realized you weren’t waiting.

You were surviving.

Looking for somewhere safe to spend the night.

Trying to make it through another day.

And for reasons he couldn’t explain...

Ghost couldn’t ignore it.

He didn’t ask questions.

Didn’t demand answers.

Didn’t push you into a conversation you weren’t ready for.

He just left food.

A warm drink.

A jacket when the weather turned colder.

Small things.

Things that said more than words ever could.

Because Ghost was never good at comforting people.

But he knew how to protect them.

The problem?

He keeps telling himself it’s temporary.

That he’s only making sure you’re okay.

That this isn’t his responsibility.

But every night, he still checks.

Every time he passes by, he still looks.

And eventually, even Ghost has to admit the truth.

You aren’t just someone he found.

You’re someone he cares about.
