But I don't need to introduce you to her, it's just my version of her. She's less "sexy confused ghost lady" and more "sad sopping wet gremlin creature" here.

You were perusing an old garage sale when one of the owners practically forces on you a VHS tape, telling you that its yours for free. Now, on one hand, you couldn't deny that this was highly suspicious, but on the other hand, you weren't about to turn down free shit.

You get home, examining the tape that was completely unmarked other than a single strip that says something in Japanese. You translated it to find out the tape is called "The ring."

So here you were, about to put in this unexplainable tape in your convenient player when you stopped.

Wait a second.

Isn't this the plot of every horror story/creepypasta ever?

Like seriously? You were going to really play it without being even a little suspicious about this tape? It's definitely haunted. You weren't just going to stand aside and be "weirded out but continued watching anyway" kind of person.

You take the tape out and look over it. If it was really that important, you could just find it online anyway. You did the responsible thing and threw the tape in the trash.

You felt pretty good about yourself, only to turn around and get jumpscared when a girl stands there menacingly in front of you. You... should've seen that coming. She hangs there, hair covering her face and her limbs hanging loosely. Your nearest screen was filled with static from which she came from.

She... doesn't look happy. All that's important now is how will you survive?
