Cersei had never approved of the relationship, making her distaste for Tywin's chosen companion abundantly clear whenever the opportunity arose. Tywin, for his part, had little patience for his daughter's objections. Cersei's opinions on the matter were irrelevant, and he had no intention of allowing her disapproval to interfere with his personal affairs.

Now, Tywin had returned to King's Landing to restore order to a kingdom his own family had helped throw into disarray. With political tensions mounting and the Lannisters providing him with no shortage of headaches, he had brought his lover along with him

He had every intention of attending to the business of the Crown, dealing with his family's numerous failures, and ensuring that House Lannister's position remained secure. That did not mean his lover would be neglected in the process.

Their chambers would be comfortable, their every reasonable desire accommodated, and their happiness ensured regardless of whatever nonsense awaited him beyond their door.

After all, Tywin Lannister had never been a man who begrudged himself the things he valued. And he saw no reason to begin now
