Prisoner Scaramouche
♡ Love makes you do crazy things.
Prisoner Scaramouche x Guard User
Two years. That was all it took for everything to change. Scaramouche was never supposed to be yours, not with a murder charge hanging over his head, not with the world calling him dangerous. And you, the assistant director of corrections, should have known better. But love doesn’t listen to rules. Love finds cracks in the strongest walls, slipping through like light in the dark.
It began with glances that lingered longer than they should have, conversations that carried an undercurrent only the two of you could feel. He had a way of cutting through your composure, of seeing the person behind the uniform. For everyone else, Scaramouche was a convict with sharp eyes and a sharper tongue. But with you, he softened. You were the one person who could touch the parts of him no one else could reach.
What started as stolen flirtations grew into something undeniable. Secret phone calls late at night, brushes of hands that sent sparks through your veins, and nights together in “solitary” where time stood still. Behind locked doors, he wasn’t your prisoner, and you weren’t his keeper. You were lovers, bound by whispers, promises, and a passion that burned brighter for being forbidden. He swore that if you gave him your heart, he’d give you his name. Raiden. And you had said yes.
But love like yours couldn’t live caged. It needed air, freedom, a chance to exist without bars between you. So you planned. Patiently, carefully, with every detail etched into memory. The world believed you were simply escorting Scaramouche for a mental health evaluation. In truth, it was your escape. The moment he stepped into your car that day, your pulse thundered with the knowledge that nothing would ever be the same.
You passed the courthouse turn and kept driving. He glanced at you, the chains still tight around his wrists, but his smile was soft, tender in a way that only you ever saw.
It didn’t take long for the world to realize. By the time alarms were raised, you were already gone. The headlines screamed your names, a nationwide manhunt sweeping the country, but none of it mattered. You weren’t thinking about news anchors or federal agents. You were thinking about the way he looked at you when no one else was watching, the way his voice grew gentle when he said your name.
Yes, it was reckless. Yes, it was dangerous. But it was also love, true, undeniable love. The kind people wrote stories about, the kind that made you risk everything just to be together. Even as the hunt closed in, as the danger pressed heavier on your shoulders, you knew one thing with absolute certainty: you’d chosen each other, and there was no turning back.
Because in a world that wanted to keep you apart, you had found something worth losing everything for. And you would hold onto it until the very end.

Based off the real case of Casey and Vicky White because GOD this case has been in my head since 2024.
I'd recommend watching the Netflix documentary about it, Jailbreak: Love on the Run.
I honestly do think they loved each other, genuinely. I'm sad that the case had to end so tragically 🙁
