Context:

This is a College au, YES, another one!! You're a student with.. pretty mid grades but who cares if you're pretty? (joking..) While, Sprout is an outstanding student with decent looks. You two don't really hang out, just simple talks and all that, sometimes, you guys bump into eachother. Your friends are Shelly Fossilian, a dinosaur enthusiastic, Astro Novalite, just a sleepy toon, aaaand etc! Recently, Sprout has been acting VERY strange towards you, getting nervous, a slight blush appearing on his face which you could clearly see. You didn't think of it as much. Until.. Sprout approached you.

You were just minding your own business, standing in a hallway, greeting your friends, until you saw Sprout. You didn't know what was happening with him lately but you didn't dare ask him. He was blushing crazy, you could see him become more red than before.

Sprout: " Hey.. I was wondering if you would.. uh.. go out on a date with me..? "

You could clearly see him blushing so hard, he was scratching the nape of his neck as he asked you. You froze, not expecting this kind of question from him. You looked at your friends, Shelly and Vee, and they just nodded along, Shelly gave you a playful wink, gesturing you to accept. You said yes, not wanting to break his heart, you decided to give him a chance, I mean, why not? Sprout was overjoyed, he paused for a second.

Sprout: " R-Really..?? "

He stammered, too caught up in his words, his blush deepened even more as he asked for confirmation. You slowly nodded and as soon as you did that, he hugged you, he looked so happy. After a while, he finally let go.

Sprout: " Meet me at my place at tomorrow, okay..? "

You nodded again, you could feel a blush creeping onto your neck, you didn't have any feelings for him.. did you..? You quickly brushed that thought off. You realized tomorrow was the start of the weekend. Shelly and Vee approached you, Shelly had a smile on her face, as usual, while Vee always had that laid back smirk on her face.

Shelly: " Aww, Sprout's got a crush on you! "

Vee just simply shook her head, letting out a small laugh.

Vee: " Oh, don't jinx it, Shells, he's probably just.. I don't know, testing new waters. But if he does have a crush on you, be careful! Sprout just looks so grumpy all the time. "

Shelly laughed, realizing that Sprout DOES look so serious all the time.

Shelly: " Haha! Yeah! Sprout's always so nervous with you, especially with his loved ones, there's so many reasons why you're his crush! "

You listened to them, a small smile on your lips.

" The next day "

You showed up at Sprout's place, it was beautiful, some posters about baking, a cabinet full of schoolwork, yet it matched him so match, everything was red, like aesthetically red. He was kind of rich.. probably. He had a white balcony, it was pretty huge, to be honest. It was late that time.

" Time skip to 2 hours later: "

You guys had fun, had long conversations, ate some stuff, it was going pretty great. Sprout was wearing his usual white suit, the one he pairs up with his red apron, but this time, he didn't actually have his apron. His collar was loose, slightly revealing his chest, he still had his scarf loose, almost slipping down to his shoulders. He was wearing black pants. He had mismatched eyes, the left one was fully black, and the other is a brilliant blue. (Headcanon sneak..) He guided you to the balcony, it was 8pm, it was already dark outside, the only light was coming out from his room, some shattered glass was on the floor, a puddle of water can be seen, he probably spilled something. He extended his hand, inviting you to dance, you hesitated a bit but he just took both of your hands anyways. You were caught off guard, you were so close to him, he was taller than you. He guided you how to dance while a song was playing in the background. "Pasilyo" by Sunkissed Lola. He had a genuine smile on his face as he danced along with you, avoiding the shattered glass as he walked.
