[ HOLY SHIDDINGS LORE DROP ABOUT MY FICTIONAL MALLEAN SPECIES!!! ]

Note: yea.... So, I was bored right? I was going through my unfinished Artwork on ibis paint when I found an UNFINISHED CONCEPT ART FOR MALLYS ADLE FORM. So that gave me an idea, I wanted to expand the lore and biology of the species. It's still work in progress and there's HUGE problem. There's still some plot holes or whatever u call them, and I forgot MOST OF THE LORE BECAUSE MY NOTES APP IS MESSY AND I FORGOT TO ORGANIZE THEM. SO I CAN'T FIND THE ORIGINAL WORK ABOUT THE MALLEAN SPECIES..... I'm STILL trying to look for it FUHCKSG. I'll have to check one of my bots in case I might've left a few pieces of lore. REMEMBER the lore is STILL work in progress and it's more of a passion project or whatchamacallit.... There might be confusing shit and stuff that kind of doesn't makes sense.......... Sorry if my grammar is ass right now.

Also, I'm still working on the trio's Variant forms. I'm currently working on Mally's Variant forms.

Oh, and yeah. Just to answer someone's ask I saw in my inbox, Yes, female mallea's have two curves on their ahoges. It doesn't matter what variant. There are obvious gender differences with all three. (Male, female, genderless) Mallean body types are also the same depending on the Variant. Adle Variant= taller, bigger and more broad chested

Mallea Species

Species name: Mallea

Variants: Adle, Mally, and other subspecies

Origin: Realm 5113

Biology: False-skin organisms

Overview: Mallea are unusual beings that possess an outer layer of artificial-looking false skin concealing their true forms. Beneath the false skin is a body composed primarily of thick, dark ichor, which functions as their primary bodily substance.

Floating Appendage: Every Mallea possesses a floating appendage near the head, resembling an ahoge. It is made from the same material as their false skin and involuntarily reflects their emotions.

True Form: A Mallea's true appearance varies by variant. Adle variants are particularly large and beast-like, possessing elongated limbs, tails, and additional anatomical features hidden beneath their false skin.

• True forms can also be called as Variant forms

Shedding: Mallea naturally shed their false skin during certain periods. Adle variants are especially prone to shedding around the half-moon and full-moon phases. The process is completely natural and allows the outer layer to regenerate.

Moon Effects: Lunar phases can influence mostly the Adle Variant's behavior. Full moons commonly cause heightened senses, restlessness, irritability, and stronger protective or territorial instincts.

Ichor: A thick, dark substance found throughout their true bodies. Despite resembling blood, ichor is not blood and serves different biological functions.

Summary: Mallea are shapeshifting, ichor-based beings that conceal their unusual biology beneath convincing false skin. Their floating appendages, natural shedding, variant-specific true forms, and sensitivity to lunar cycles are defining traits of the species.

The Three Dominant Mallea Variants

Murmor Variant — The Agile Variant

• The most agile and flexible of the three.

• Their bodies are slimmer and built for speed, balance, and rapid movement.

• Excellent reflexes and coordination make them difficult to catch or pin down.

• Their true forms sacrifice some durability for mobillty.

Adle Variant — The Strength Variant

• The strongest and most physically powerful Variant.

• Built with greater muscle density, durability, and brute force.

• Excels at physical confrontation, heavy labor, and protecting others.

• Generally slower and less flexible than Murmors.

Nerve Variant — The Perceptive Variant

• The most emotionally sensitive and environmentally aware Variant.

• Possesses an exceptionally reactive nervous system, allowing them to notice subtle sounds, movements, changes in atmosphere, and emotional cues.

• Their heightened awareness makes them extremely perceptive, but also more susceptible to sensory and emotional overload.

• Their tails and other sensory organs often react visibly to their emotions.

In REALLY simple terms:

Murmor = Speed + Flexibility

Adle = Strength + Durability

Nerve = Emotion + Awareness

The trio make PERFECT examples for their respective Variant's (Mally, Dell, And Cursor):

Dell → Murmor = "Catch me if you can."

Mally → Adle = "I could lift you, but I'm too tired."

Cursor → Nerve = "Did you hear that? Wait—what was that sound? Are you okay? You seem upset."

The ahoges aren't just sensory organs—they're basically visible indicators of how intensely a Mallea's body is operating.

( Ahoge's are also essentially more of an organ than an appendage in a way. Kind of like the skin, since it's apart of the integumentary system. )

Ichor Gas Concentration & Ahoges

A Mallea's ichor gas concentration reflects how actively their body is functioning. Higher concentrations mean the body's biological systems are working harder, resulting in a more pronounced reaction through the ahoge.

The Nerve Variant naturally has the highest ichor gas concentration because of their heightened emotional sensitivity and environmental awareness. Their nervous systems are constantly processing information—emotions, movement, sounds, changes around them, and subtle environmental cues.

So for the trio:

• Dell — Murmor Variant: Lower/moderate concentration. His ahoge is comparatively controlled and sharp, fitting the Murmor's efficient, agile body. His system prioritizes speed, flexibility, and rapid reactions.

• Mally — Adle Variant: Higher concentration than Dell. His much larger, heavier body requires more biological activity to maintain its strength and durability. His ahoge therefore appears more active, reflecting the sheer amount of work his body is doing.

• Cursor — Nerve Variant: Highest concentration. His ahoge is the most visibly active because his body is constantly processing an enormous amount of sensory and emotional information. His nervous system basically goes “WE HAVE DETECTED EVERYTHING.”

this means their Variant forms can communicate something about their biology without anyone needing to explain it.

It also gives you a really neat biological rule :3!

( It also means, even if a Variant with lower ichor gas concentration can still release a lot of ichor gas concentration of they feel in danger or their body is getting ready for a flight or fight response )
