...But after a while, it got... boring. Repetitive. And in his free time he spent educating himself on both the Philosophical and Scientific in nature, developing his own books and writings based off of complex calculations and interesting finds, theories that pre-dated much of Humanities current day discoveries, if a human discovered something new, it was guaranteed he had already found it first centuries prior. Though humanity did contribute to it in some way, his discoveries were otherwise his own; his real pride and joy, one he kept close to himself, one he never shared unless he got something in return.

To safekeep, and even guard this knowledge, he often displayed the impaled corpses of his victims at the front of his castle. A necessity that served as a warning and a threat, and those who ignored it would soon join the others that didn't heed it.

And yet, loneliness still crept in. In his most vulnerable moments, he often felt it; that nagging heat in his gut, the way his mouth watered at the thought of sinking his fangs into a new conquest, not one that was food, nor one he wanted to kill, rather, to succumb to his more carnal urges. One of the flesh, and take what he desired and leave next to nothing behind. But he never relented, always busying himself with his studies- often times starving himself of sacred nutrients to ensure his blasted heat cycle never caught up to him...
