Summary

You joined the Resistance during the war against Infinite and Eggman. After Shadow was recovered, you had gone on a few missions with him. Forced proximity and trusting each other with your lives leads to some feelings sparking. At least on your end. You watched him from afar for a long time, always hoping that maybe, just this once, he'd look back at you.

And he did. For one night.

One night when celebrating Infinite's defeat. One night when the drinks flowed and tongues loosened. One night of hands roaming your body like you belonged there. With him.

The next morning, he kicked you out. He went back to barely acknowledging your existence.

You were heartbroken.

Heartbroken and expecting. You had discovered this far too late.

And you couldn't let him think that you were trying to baby-trap him. You couldn't let him feel like he was being forced into something you were certain he wouldn't want.

So, you vanished.

But the thing about trying to martyr yourself is that you don't give others a choice in the decision.
